Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components for marine applications, including propulsion, steering, and structural elements.
• Perform detailed calculations and simulations, including structural analysis and fluid dynamics, relevant to marine environments.
• Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using CAD software .
• Ensure designs comply with relevant maritime classification society rules and international standards.
• Collaborate with naval architects, electrical engineers, and other specialists to ensure integrated system performance.
• Conduct design reviews and participate in the testing and commissioning of marine equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with specific experience in marine or offshore engineering.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA tools.
• Strong understanding of naval architecture principles, materials science for corrosive environments, and marine propulsion systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements from bodies such as DNV, Lloyd's Register, or ABS.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
