Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to their innovative engineering efforts in Norwich . This role involves the design, development, and refinement of mechanical systems and components, playing a key part in bringing new products to life. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical parts and assemblies using 3D CAD software.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, tolerancing, and specifications for manufacturing.
• Perform basic stress, thermal, and kinematic analyses to support design decisions.
• Participate in the testing and validation of prototypes, documenting results and recommendations.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and product quality.
• Contribute to design reviews and help identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical qualification.
• 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design or engineering.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
• Good understanding of engineering fundamentals, materials, and common manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team, supporting a hybrid schedule .
