About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative team, operating on a fully remote basis. You will be responsible for the entire design cycle, from concept ideation and detailed design using state-of-the-art tools, to supporting prototyping and testing, all from your chosen remote location. Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualise, design, and develop mechanical components and systems using advanced 3D CAD software , ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
• Conduct essential engineering calculations and preliminary simulations to validate design concepts and identify potential issues early in the development process.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) that comply with industry standards and facilitate efficient manufacturing.
• Collaborate closely with external partners and internal stakeholders through virtual channels to refine designs and address technical queries effectively.
• Support the prototyping and testing phases by providing technical input and assisting in troubleshooting design-related challenges.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and contribute to design reviews via online collaboration platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency in modern 3D CAD software (e.g., Inventor, Fusion 360, SolidWorks).
• Familiarity with engineering principles, materials science, and common manufacturing processes.
• Excellent ability to work autonomously and manage tasks effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong communication and digital collaboration skills.
