Mechanical Design Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering a major programme of infrastructure and non-infrastructure water projects.

Working remotely, you'll support mechanical design across water and wastewater treatment, with relevance to pumps, pumping stations and wider MEICA systems.

The 18-month duration makes this a strong option for an engineer looking for long-term project continuity within the UK water sector.

The Role

You'll be involved in:

Delivering mechanical design across water and wastewater projects Developing mechanical engineering solutions throughout the design lifecycle Supporting the design of pumps, pumping systems and pumping stations Producing and reviewing technical design information Coordinating mechanical requirements with electrical, civil and process disciplines Supporting the integration of mechanical equipment within treatment facilities Contributing to multidisciplinary design reviews Resolving technical and coordination issues Supporting projects through design development and technical deliveryWhat They're Looking For

Strong Mechanical Design Engineering experience Relevant mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent experience Experience with pumps, pumping systems and/or pumping stations Good understanding of mechanical and MEICA engineering Ability to produce and review technical design information Strong multidisciplinary coordination skills Good technical problem-solving capabilities Ability to work effectively within a remote engineering teamPrevious experience across WTW, WWTW, water treatment or wastewater infrastructure would be particularly beneficial.
