Job Description
An established space and aerospace engineering organisation is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of complex, precision-engineered products.
You’ll take mechanical designs from concept through to manufacturing, working across product development, test equipment, tooling and associated assemblies.
This is a 6-12 month inside IR35 contract with strong likelihood of extension.
Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Engineer
Develop mechanical designs and manufacturing drawings using Creo.
Support SRR, PDR, CDR and other design reviews.
Produce design reports, test plans and technical documentation.
Work with manufacturing and process engineers to deliver practical solutions.
Resolve complex design challenges and support FEA, thermal and stress analysis.
Consider DFM, DFA, materials, cost and lead times throughout development.
About You
Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
Experience in space, aerospace or similarly complex engineering.
Strong Creo/CAD experience.
Experience with structured design reviews and product development.
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing and mechanical systems.
FEA/thermal/stress analysis experience desirable.
ECSS, MIL-STD, Windchill or requirements management experience advantageous.
