Our client is seeking a proactive Mechanical Engineer specializing in energy systems to join their innovative research and development team in Norwich . Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for energy generation, storage, and distribution.
• Conduct detailed thermodynamic and fluid dynamic analyses to optimize system performance and efficiency.
• Create detailed technical documentation, including 3D models , P&IDs, and manufacturing drawings.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and control systems specialists to integrate mechanical designs into complete energy solutions.
• Perform rigorous testing and validation of prototypes, analyzing performance data and recommending improvements.
• Stay current with advancements in energy technologies and contribute to R&D initiatives in Norwich .

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in energy systems or thermodynamics.
• 3-5 years of experience in the design and development of mechanical systems, preferably within the energy sector.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
• Strong understanding of energy conversion principles, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
• Familiarity with renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, biomass) or conventional power generation.
