Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing Support

About the Role

Our client is seeking a resourceful Mechanical Engineer with a focus on manufacturing support to join their team in Liverpool . You will work closely with production teams to resolve mechanical issues, optimize equipment performance, and implement process enhancements. Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for manufacturing machinery and production lines, diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with production staff to implement process improvements and optimize equipment efficiency.
• Develop and maintain documentation for mechanical systems, including operating procedures and maintenance schedules.
• Participate in the evaluation and integration of new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in the design and modification of tooling and fixtures to support production needs.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation.
• Familiarity with CAD software for minor design modifications or fixture design.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork.
