Mechanical Engineer - Product Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and creative Mechanical Engineer specializing in Product Development to join their team in Brighton . This role operates on a hybrid model, allowing for a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. You will be integral to the innovation pipeline, contributing to the design, testing, and refinement of new products. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new mechanical products and features, ensuring functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) using CAD software.
• Conduct performance testing and analysis on prototypes, identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, industrial design, and manufacturing, throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design challenges during development and production phases.
• Research and evaluate new materials and technologies for product enhancement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in product development and mechanical design.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Fusion 360, AutoCAD) and related tools.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding and CNC machining.
• Experience with prototyping and testing methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
