Mechanical Engineer - Renewable Energy Systems

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer with a focus on Renewable Energy Systems to join their growing team in Bristol . Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for renewable energy applications using CAD software.
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations (FEA, CFD), and analysis to ensure system performance and durability.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, material scientists, and project managers to integrate mechanical and other systems.
• Develop technical specifications, test plans, and manufacturing documentation.
• Support prototype builds, conduct performance testing, and analyze results to identify design improvements.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in the renewable energy sector .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and development.
• Proven experience with CAD software and engineering simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and structural analysis.
• Familiarity with the design and challenges of renewable energy technologies .
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills for a hybrid environment .
