Job Description
Connect Appointments is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to join an established engineering business based in Auchtermuchty but working across distillery sites throughout Scotland.
This is a varied, field-based role for a time-served industrial mechanical engineer - working on pumps, valves, pipework and new equipment installations at client sites across the country.
What's on offer?
Full-time permanent position
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm - overtime available
£17 to £20 per hour - dependent on experience
Company van (business use only) and laptop provided
28 days holiday per year, company pension, and moreAs a Mechanical Engineer, your duties will include:
Working on pumps, valves and pipework across client distillery sites
Splitting and reassembling pipework to a high standard
Carrying out confined space work where required
Installing and commissioning new equipment
Maintaining accurate records and working safely at all timesTo be considered as a Mechanical Engineer, you will need:
A time-served industrial mechanical engineering background is essential
Previous experience working in industrial environments such as distilleries, manufacturing or process plants is advantageous
A valid driving licence is essential
