About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and qualified Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Brighton , operating on a hybrid basis. This role is central to the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components that are critical to the company's innovative product lines. You will be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking engineering department, contributing to projects that require both ingenuity and a strong understanding of engineering principles. This position offers a balanced approach to work, combining necessary in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote working.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems, ensuring they meet functional, performance, and aesthetic requirements.
- Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including stress, thermal, and vibration analysis, to validate designs and ensure reliability.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including CAD models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure designs are optimized for production processes and cost-efficiency.
- Perform prototype testing and validation, analyze results, and implement design improvements.
- Support the troubleshooting of mechanical issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design and development, with a solid understanding of engineering principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and an understanding of simulation tools.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities, suitable for a hybrid work environment.
