Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, repair and fault-finding to support the refurbishment, maintenance and upgrade of Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
Key Responsibilities:
* Testing, diagnostics, repair, maintenance, modification and calibration of mechanical equipment.
* Fault-finding and repairs through to component level.
* Working from engineering documentation, ASI and OEM data.
* Surveying equipment and recommending repairs, refurbishment and modifications.
* Supporting reverse engineering and development of test procedures.
* Providing technical advice and supervising junior staff/apprentices.
* Working within engineering governance, safety and quality standards.
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
* Mechanical maintenance, repair and fault-finding experience.
* Ideally from a Defence, aerospace, GSE or heavy engineering background.
* Level 3/4 engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
* Recognised engineering apprenticeship/advanced or higher apprenticeship.
* Eligible for EngTech registration under UK-SPEC.
