Location: Surrey Salary: £18.00 – £20.00 per hour depending on experience Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–1:00pm Contract: Permanent Overtime: Available at 1.5x hourly rate, subject to availability

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join a well-established precision engineering business on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience within aerospace or precision engineering, with a strong understanding of mechanical inspection, engineering drawings and dimensional measurement.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect precision-engineered components to drawing and specification

*

Carry out dimensional inspection using verniers, micrometers, height gauges and other inspection equipment

*

Complete inspection reports and quality documentation

*

Identify and report non-conforming components

*

Work closely with production and quality teams

*

Ensure products meet required customer and quality standards

Requirements

*

Previous experience as a Mechanical Inspector

*

Experience working from engineering drawings

*

Confident using verniers, micrometers and height gauges/towers

*

Good understanding of dimensional inspection

*

CMM experience preferred

*

Aerospace or precision engineering experience preferred

*

Excellent attention to detail

*

Must have the right to work in the UK

*
