About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Installation Engineer to join their growing team in Bradford . This role involves the precise installation, setup, and initial testing of mechanical systems and equipment across various client sites. You will play a key role in ensuring that all installations are completed to the highest standards, meeting project timelines and client specifications. This position requires a practical, hands-on approach combined with strong technical understanding and excellent problem-solving capabilities, contributing to the successful deployment of complex machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and commission mechanical equipment and systems according to detailed project plans and technical drawings.
- Perform precise alignments, calibrations, and adjustments to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Conduct thorough pre-installation checks and post-installation testing to verify functionality and safety.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues encountered during the installation process.
- Liaise with clients and site managers to coordinate installation activities and ensure minimal disruption.
- Maintain detailed records of installation progress, materials used, and any deviations from the plan.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical installation, fitting, or a similar hands-on engineering role.
- Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles and precision engineering techniques.
- Proficiency with a range of mechanical tools and equipment, including precision measurement instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel within the Bradford region and occasionally further afield.
