About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Installation Engineer to join their dynamic team in Glasgow . This position involves the installation, testing, and commissioning of complex mechanical systems at client sites across Scotland. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and a proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a project team. This role offers the chance to work on diverse and challenging projects within the industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and commission mechanical equipment and systems according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Perform testing and calibration of installed systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues encountered during installation or testing.
- Collaborate with project managers, other engineers, and site personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical installations, preferably in an industrial or engineering context.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and installation techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with technical documentation and CAD drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
