About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Installation Engineer to join their remote operations team, with a focus on projects originating from the Norwich, Norfolk area. This role involves providing remote technical guidance and support for the installation and setup of mechanical systems and equipment. You will act as a key technical resource, assisting field teams and clients through detailed instructions and troubleshooting, ensuring successful project completion from your home office. This position emphasizes expert remote problem-solving and communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the installation of mechanical systems.
• Guide field technicians through complex assembly, setup, and calibration procedures.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues remotely, identifying root causes and solutions.
• Develop and update installation manuals and remote support documentation.
• Liaise with clients and project managers to ensure installation milestones are met.
• Analyze performance data and recommend adjustments for optimal mechanical operation.

Requirements

• Significant experience in mechanical engineering and on-site installation.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, including power transmission, fluid systems, and material handling.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and P&IDs.
• Excellent remote communication and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with remote support tools and collaboration software.
