About the Role
Our client is searching for a seasoned Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their remote-first installation and maintenance team, supporting operations primarily in the Leeds region. While the role is remote-based for planning and coordination, you will be required for on-site installation and maintenance tasks as needed within the West Yorkshire area. You will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal functioning of mechanical systems and equipment, focusing on preventative maintenance and rapid troubleshooting to minimize operational disruptions. This role requires a self-starter who can manage their time effectively and deliver high-quality engineering support across various client sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance on a range of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient restoration of service.
- Perform installations and upgrades of mechanical components and systems as per project requirements.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify issues and implement effective repairs.
- Collaborate with the remote engineering team to coordinate maintenance schedules and report on activities in the Leeds area.
Requirements
- Qualified Mechanical Engineer with significant experience in industrial maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and general mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.
- Experience with various diagnostic and repair tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a flexible work schedule, including travel for on-site requirements in Leeds and surrounding areas.
