Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Sheffield Salary: £50188 per year Shifts: 4 on 4 off shift pattern (continental), working Days (06:00-18:00) and Nights (18:00-06:00). Benefits: 31 days holiday, pension, ongoing training & development

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a small, skilled team supporting a rolling mill and downstream equipment. You'll carry out mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, fault-finding on hydraulic systems, and workshop rebuilds of gearboxes, shears, spindles, and pumps.

Requirements

Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 equivalent Industrial mechanical maintenance experience Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn Able to read engineering drawings and work safely at heights Responsibilities include:

Overhaul and maintain mechanical equipment Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime Plan and carry out preventative maintenance Maintain safety and housekeeping standards Assist in production changeovers and report shift activities
