About the Role

Our client is looking for a proficient Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to bolster their maintenance team in Bradford . This role is essential for the upkeep and smooth operation of mechanical systems and machinery within their production facility. You will undertake a variety of tasks, from routine servicing to complex repairs, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on a wide range of mechanical equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, and conveyor systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are logged accurately in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter or similar role within an industrial setting.
• Strong practical skills in fitting, assembly, and disassembly of mechanical components.
• Proficiency in using workshop tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinding equipment.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Good understanding of workplace safety procedures and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Must be physically capable of manual handling and working in various site conditions around Bradford .
