About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their established facilities team in Coventry . This role is vital for ensuring the smooth operation and longevity of industrial machinery and building systems within their operational sites. You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of maintenance tasks, from routine inspections to complex repairs, to minimize downtime and maintain a safe working environment. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, committed to upholding high standards of mechanical upkeep and contributing to the efficiency of the Coventry -based operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify mechanical failures and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
• Execute timely and effective repairs, including welding, fabricating, and replacing faulty parts.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide maintenance and repair procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop and work areas, adhering to all safety regulations.
• Assist with the installation of new mechanical equipment and systems as required.

  Requirements
• Demonstrable experience in a similar Mechanical Maintenance Technician role, preferably within an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and general engineering principles.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and potentially welding and fabrication tools.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Good problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to work.
