About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their facilities team in Coventry . You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of various mechanical systems within our industrial premises. This role involves hands-on work, conducting routine inspections, performing repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency. You will work closely with site management and operational teams to uphold the highest standards of safety and equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and diagnostics on a wide range of mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty mechanical components, adhering to safety protocols.
• Execute planned preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot mechanical failures to identify root causes.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent.
• Collaborate with the engineering department on equipment upgrades and improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
• Commitment to health and safety regulations in a workshop environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
