Mechanical Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Mechanical Project Engineer to join their established team in Bradford . This role is primarily office-based, offering a collaborative and dynamic working environment. You will be responsible for managing mechanical engineering projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with design teams, production, and clients to ensure all project requirements are met and engineering objectives are achieved effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical engineering projects, coordinating with all relevant stakeholders.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these objectives.
• Ensure designs meet all technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays or cost overruns.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to provide regular project updates and address any concerns.
• Collaborate with the design team to resolve technical challenges and ensure design for manufacturability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in project engineering or project management within a mechanical engineering context.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and project management methodologies .
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with CAD software and project management tools is advantageous.
