About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team in Southampton . This hybrid role offers the chance to manage and execute diverse mechanical engineering projects, from initial planning and design through to implementation and final handover. You will liaise with clients, internal teams, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position is ideal for an organized and technically adept engineer who enjoys project management and working within a collaborative, flexible setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
- Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Conduct site visits and technical assessments as required.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to provide project updates and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in project management within an engineering context.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and installation processes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote tasks.
