About the Role
Our client, a leading manufacturer of specialized industrial equipment, is seeking a diligent Mechanical Project Engineer to join their established team in Milton Keynes . This role is crucial for managing the lifecycle of various mechanical engineering projects, from initial client consultations and conceptual design through to installation and commissioning. You will be the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple mechanical engineering projects concurrently from inception to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress closely.
- Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide regular project updates.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct site visits for project assessment, installation supervision, and client meetings in Milton Keynes and occasionally further afield.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving any technical or logistical issues that arise.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in project engineering or project management within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and software (e.g., MS Project).
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
