About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mechanical Project Engineer to manage and execute diverse mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion in Coventry, West Midlands, UK . This role involves coordinating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a crucial part in project planning, resource allocation, and risk management, contributing significantly to the company's reputation for delivering successful and complex engineering solutions, fostering a collaborative atmosphere within the project team.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical engineering projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal engineering departments.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and quality control procedures.
Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential issues to ensure project success.
Prepare regular project progress reports for senior management and clients.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Proven experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar project management role within mechanical engineering.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Experience with site management and contractor coordination is essential for this role in Coventry .
Proficiency in project management software and standard office applications.
