About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to oversee projects from inception to completion at their facility in Coventry . This role involves managing the technical aspects of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate with internal teams, external suppliers, and clients to achieve project milestones. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical engineering projects, from planning and design to execution and closeout.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate and lead project team meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment among stakeholders.
- Oversee the technical integrity of project designs and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in managing engineering projects, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and safety regulations.
