Mechanical Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-driven Mechanical Project Engineer to spearhead key projects within their dynamic engineering division in Belfast . This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong project management skills to oversee the successful execution of mechanical engineering initiatives from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for mechanical engineering projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation in collaboration with relevant departments.
• Coordinate with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and procurement specialists to ensure smooth project progression.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing proactive solutions to overcome challenges.
• Communicate project status, progress, and issues effectively to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management, specifically within a mechanical engineering context.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and project management methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and standard office software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
