About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Mechanical Project Engineer to manage and deliver key mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion in Leeds . This role requires strong project management skills combined with a solid technical understanding of mechanical systems. You will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. Key Responsibilities

Manage all phases of mechanical engineering projects, including planning, execution, and closure.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Develop detailed project schedules, resource allocation plans, and budgets.
Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in project management, ideally within an engineering context.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industrial equipment, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project).
Ability to work effectively in a remote setting and manage distributed teams.
