About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic and organized Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team in Sheffield . This role involves managing the successful execution of mechanical engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate with internal engineering teams, external suppliers, and clients, acting as a key point of contact. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong project management skills and a solid technical background.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor mechanical engineering projects, ensuring all objectives are met.
• Coordinate with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets, identifying and mitigating risks proactively.
• Oversee the procurement of mechanical components and services from suppliers.
• Ensure all project work adheres to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present project status reports to management and clients.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 2 years in project management.
• Proven experience managing engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
