About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organised Mechanical Project Engineer to join their expanding operations in Bradford . This role involves managing and coordinating mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for technical oversight, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication, playing a key role in the successful execution of diverse engineering initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong project management skills to make a significant impact in a thriving industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of mechanical engineering projects.
Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements in conjunction with stakeholders.
Coordinate with design engineers, technicians, and external suppliers to ensure project objectives are met.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure all projects comply with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards.
Manage project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications, for projects in Bradford .

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience (5+ years) in project engineering or project management within a mechanical engineering context.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
Excellent planning, organisational, and leadership skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
