About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to join their dedicated engineering team in Reading . This role focuses on the integration, testing, and validation of complex mechanical systems across a variety of products. You will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical components and subsystems function harmoniously and meet rigorous performance specifications. This is a crucial role within the product development lifecycle, requiring a strong understanding of system dynamics and a meticulous approach to problem-solving. We are looking for an individual who can contribute to ensuring the seamless operation of our client's innovative solutions through diligent engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement mechanical systems, ensuring seamless integration of various components.
- Perform system-level testing and validation, identifying and resolving integration issues.
- Develop detailed system specifications, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to ensure system requirements are met.
- Conduct root cause analysis for system failures and implement corrective actions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of system design and testing methodologies within the Reading facility.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical systems engineering, with a focus on integration and testing.
- Proficiency with CAD software and system simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of control systems, thermodynamics, and dynamics.
- Experience with test plan development and execution.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
