Our client, a dynamic technology firm based in Derby , is seeking a proactive Mechanical Systems Engineer to contribute to their innovative product development. This hybrid role involves the design, integration, and testing of complex mechanical systems. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration of various mechanical components, collaborating closely with electrical and software engineering teams. The position offers a balanced approach, combining essential on-site collaboration for team synergy and strategic discussions with remote work flexibility for focused design and analysis tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate complex mechanical systems for new product development.
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to ensure cohesive system performance and functionality.
- Perform system-level analysis, including thermal management, structural integrity, and vibration assessment.
- Create detailed system architecture diagrams, schematics, and interface control documents.
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of integrated mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-level integration issues, ensuring reliable operation.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related systems engineering discipline.
- Experience in the design and integration of complex mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with CAD software and system simulation tools.
- Understanding of interfaces between mechanical, electrical, and software components.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for systems thinking.
