About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to join their innovative team, operating remotely from their Glasgow location. Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and test mechanical systems, ensuring seamless integration with other project components.
- Develop technical specifications, P&IDs, and system architectures for complex mechanical assemblies.
- Perform detailed computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA) to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional remote teams, including hardware and software engineers, to define system requirements and resolve integration issues.
- Oversee the prototyping and validation phases, ensuring systems meet all performance and safety standards.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including test plans, reports, and user manuals, for remote review and approval.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a systems focus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical systems design and analysis.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools and advanced simulation software for CFD and FEA.
- Strong understanding of control systems, mechatronics, and system integration principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively in a virtual setting.
