Job Description
Mechanical Technician (Offshore) – Shearwater Platform
Location: Offshore, Shearwater Platform (Mobilisation from Aberdeen)
Start Date: 17 August 2026
Duration: Approx. 3-4 days offshore (5 days total scope)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician with valid offshore certification to support a short-term project on the Shearwater Platform. The successful candidate will carry out hydraulic flushing, leak testing, and reinstatement activities on an ESDV control system.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform hydraulic flushing of supply and return lines between the ESDV Control Panel and ESDV Actuator in accordance with Procedure WN(phone number removed)-E04 Flushing Procedure.
* Achieve hydraulic cleanliness standard NAS 1635 Class 5.
* Remove Ball Valve 351B and install tubing between 393 and 353D as per drawing SLZGA014.
* Conduct leak testing activities.
* Complete system reinstatement following testing.
Requirements
* Proven offshore mechanical technician experience.
* Experience with hydraulic flushing and leak testing.
* Valid offshore medical and survival certificates.
* Knowledge of hydraulic control systems and ESDV equipment preferred.
* Ability to mobilise from Aberdeen.
Additional Information
* Scope requires one technician only.
* Work will be carried out on an ESDV Control Panel and Actuator.
* Travel and accommodation arrangements will be coordinated for the selected candidate.
* Platform-specific training requirements to be confirmed
