An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and enthusiastic Media & Film Production Teacher to join a secondary school in the Maidstone area of Kent on a full-time, long-term basis.

The school is looking for a confident practitioner who can deliver Media at Key Stage 4 alongside BTEC Film Production at Key Stage 5, inspiring students to develop both their creative and technical skills.

This is a 5-day-per-week position starting ASAP and is expected to continue for the full 2026/27 academic year, with the potential to become a permanent placement for the right candidate.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Teaching Media at KS4
• Delivering BTEC Film Production at KS5
• Planning and delivering engaging, creative and practical lessons
• Supporting students with both the theoretical and practical elements of Media and Film Production
• Guiding students through BTEC coursework, assignments and practical projects
• Supporting students with areas such as film production, editing, pre-production, storytelling and media analysis
• Monitoring progress and providing effective feedback
• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, participation and achievement
• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the department

The Ideal Candidate

We would be keen to hear from:

• Qualified Media Studies Teachers
• Film Studies / Film Production Teachers
• Teachers with experience delivering BTEC Film Production
• Media professionals or Further Education lecturers with relevant teaching experience
• Experienced teachers looking for a long-term or permanent opportunity
• Candidates confident teaching across KS4 and KS5

Experience delivering BTEC qualifications at Level 3 would be particularly advantageous.
