Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic media relations plans to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Proactively pitch stories and secure positive media coverage in national, regional, and trade publications.
- Manage all incoming media inquiries, serving as a primary point of contact for journalists.
- Prepare spokespeople for media interviews and provide guidance on messaging.
- Monitor media coverage, analyze trends, and provide comprehensive reports on campaign effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key media contacts across various sectors.
Requirements
- Over 6 years of experience in media relations, public relations, or journalism.
- Demonstrated success in securing high-profile media coverage and managing complex media campaigns.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK media landscape, particularly within Scotland.
- Experience in crisis communications and rapid response to sensitive issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
