This role involves crafting and executing impactful media strategies to enhance the company's public profile and manage its reputation. You will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with key media contacts, pitching compelling stories, and coordinating responses to media inquiries. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive media relations strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for positive media coverage and pitch stories to relevant journalists and outlets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with national, regional, and trade media.
- Prepare press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.
- Monitor media coverage and report on campaign results and sentiment analysis.
- Act as a key point of contact for media inquiries and manage rapid response protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in media relations or a PR agency setting.
- Proven ability to secure significant media placements in reputable outlets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for persuasive storytelling.
- Strong understanding of the UK media landscape.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment , balancing remote and in-office responsibilities.
