About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and precise Medical Equipment Installation Engineer to serve the healthcare facilities in and around Wolverhampton . This critical role ensures that advanced medical devices and systems are installed, calibrated, and commissioned to the highest standards, directly impacting patient care and diagnostic accuracy. You will work with a range of sophisticated equipment, collaborating with hospital staff and technical teams to guarantee seamless integration and functionality. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, understands stringent regulatory requirements, and is dedicated to supporting the healthcare sector through expert installation and maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, set up, and calibrate a variety of medical equipment, including diagnostic imaging systems, laboratory analysers, and patient monitoring devices.
- Perform pre-installation site assessments and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation procedures post-installation to confirm equipment performance.
- Provide technical training and support to clinical staff on the operation of new equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and client IT departments to ensure smooth integration.
- Document all installation activities, test results, and client sign-offs accurately.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an installation engineer , specifically with complex medical equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software systems pertinent to medical devices.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., MHRA guidelines).
- Ability to interpret complex technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a meticulous approach to calibration and testing.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with healthcare professionals.
