About the Role

Our client requires a dedicated Medical Equipment Technician to join their team in Bristol . This critical role involves the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of a wide range of medical devices and equipment within healthcare facilities. You will ensure that all equipment is safe, functional, and meets rigorous clinical standards, playing a vital part in patient care and healthcare delivery. The role demands meticulous attention to detail and a strong technical background within the specialized installation and maintenance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Install new medical equipment and systems according to manufacturer specifications and site requirements.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and electrical safety testing on medical devices.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in complex medical equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to clinical services.
• Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance, repair, and installation activities.
• Liaise with clinical staff and manufacturers to resolve technical issues and provide training.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Medical Equipment Technician or Biomedical Engineer.
• Strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, and potentially software systems related to medical devices.
• Experience with a variety of medical equipment types (e.g., imaging, diagnostic, patient monitoring).
• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in medical equipment maintenance.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work methodically.
• Full UK driving license for travel to various sites in and around Bristol .
