Medical Sales Specialist – Radiotherapy Devices
- Manchester, Greater Manchester
- Permanent
- Full Time
- £45,000 - £55,000 Per Annum
Job Description
As a medical sales Account Manager, you’ll sell and support a range of Radiotherapy medical devices, including equipment and software, that improve clinical outcomes; working with established and new customers across the UK NHS and private sector.
- Proactive medical sales of radiotherapy and medical physics (QA) devices to NHS and private hospital customers, including Therapeutic Radiographers, Radiotherapy Physicists and Clinical Scientists, as well as purchasing teams.
- The product range includes radiotherapy patient positioning and immobilisation devices (couch tops, positioning lasers, breast & lung and head & neck immobilisation, pelvis & extremities positioning, SRS & SBRT solutions) and physics QA equipment (electrometers, ion chambers, phantoms, water tanks, beam QA and in-vivo dosimetry).
- This is not a hard sell; it’s about building relationships based on knowledgeable support, understanding customer challenges to provide advice, and guiding them through the purchase. You’ll have the support of Clinical Application Specialist colleagues for product demonstrations, customer education and hands-on training, although you’ll find yourself involved in these too from time to time.
- Covering the Midlands and North UK, with occasional trips to support customers in Ireland. A typical week involves 3-4 days visiting customer sites, 1-2 working from home, and averaging one night away per week.
Company
- A specialist distributor with decades of experience in radiation therapy, supplying and supporting a carefully selected portfolio of premium equipment, devices and software to NHS and private radiotherapy centres across the UK and Ireland.
- A small, close-knit team where everyone knows each other – backed by strong leadership, a growing product portfolio, and a culture that invests in its people through training, development budgets and a supportive working environment.
Requirements
- We are looking for candidates from one of two backgrounds:

- A medical sales background within medical devices; this could be imaging, surgical or some other technical medical product (and clinical experience is not required).
- A natural communicator who is self-motivated and proactive, comfortable taking the initiative to build relationships and open new conversations, and passionate about improving patient outcomes while making clinicians’ lives easier.
- Suitable locations include (but are not limited to): Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Leeds, Stoke-on-Trent, Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Birmingham, and Coventry. Other UK locations will be considered.
- Essential: full rights to work in the UK, and a valid driving licence.
Package
- Salary guide: £45-55,000 (depending on experience) plus a company bonus, a company car, and a great benefits package that includes both professional and personal development allowances.
