Medical Science Liaison - Cardiovascular

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly knowledgeable and dynamic Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to cover the Edinburgh region, focusing on Cardiovascular therapies. This field-based role serves as a critical scientific link between the company and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the medical community. You will be responsible for disseminating complex scientific information, fostering collaborative research, and gathering insights to support the company's medical and strategic objectives. This is a senior role requiring strong scientific acumen and excellent communication skills to engage with leading healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), investigators, and healthcare professionals in the cardiovascular field.
• Provide comprehensive scientific and clinical information regarding the company's products and therapeutic areas.
• Support investigator-initiated studies and internal clinical trial activities by identifying potential sites and investigators.
• Gather insights from KOLs regarding unmet medical needs, treatment paradigms, and competitive intelligence.
• Present complex scientific data at medical conferences, symposia, and advisory boards.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D.) in a relevant discipline (e.g., Pharmacy, Biology, Medicine).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical affairs, clinical development, or research within the pharmaceutical industry, with a specialization in cardiovascular diseases.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex scientific and medical information to diverse audiences.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design, statistical analysis, and relevant therapeutic areas.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory, including Edinburgh and surrounding areas, and occasional national/international travel.
