Medical Science Liaison (MSL)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly knowledgeable and motivated Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their medical affairs team, covering the Sheffield region. As an MSL, you will be the key scientific and medical expert responsible for engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in relevant therapeutic areas, disseminating complex scientific information, and gathering insights to support the company's research and development efforts. This hybrid role requires significant travel to meet with healthcare professionals and attend scientific conferences, balanced with remote work for reporting and planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, clinicians, and researchers within assigned therapeutic areas.
• Deliver accurate and comprehensive scientific and clinical information regarding company products and relevant disease states.
• Gather and report insights from KOL interactions, including unmet medical needs, competitive intelligence, and research trends.
• Support clinical trial activities, including site identification, patient recruitment, and data dissemination.
• Present scientific data at advisory boards, symposia, and other medical education events.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, industry codes, and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) in a relevant life science or medical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison or in a similar scientific/medical affairs role.
• In-depth knowledge of a specific therapeutic area (e.g., oncology, cardiology, neurology).
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to build rapport and credibility with medical and scientific experts.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region and attend national/international meetings.
