Medical Science Liaison (MSL)

About the Role

Our client seeks an experienced and scientifically astute Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their expanding medical affairs team, covering the Edinburgh region. In this vital field-based role, you will serve as a key scientific expert, building relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to foster scientific exchange and provide in-depth clinical and scientific information on our client's therapeutic areas. This position is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong scientific background who excels in communication and relationship building, contributing to the scientific advancement and responsible use of innovative medicines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) within assigned therapeutic areas.
• Deliver complex scientific and clinical data presentations to diverse audiences.
• Gather and communicate insights from KOLs and HCPs back to internal R&D, medical, and commercial teams.
• Support the planning and execution of advisory boards and scientific exchange meetings.
• Provide scientific and clinical support for company-sponsored research and investigator-initiated studies.
• Act as a scientific expert for our client's products and therapeutic areas in the Scotland region.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, DVM, or equivalent) in a relevant life science discipline.
• Demonstrated experience as a Medical Science Liaison or in a related medical affairs role.
• In-depth knowledge of one or more therapeutic areas relevant to our client's portfolio.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the designated territory and occasionally to national/international meetings.
