Medical Science Liaison (MSL)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly knowledgeable and motivated Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their expanding medical affairs team, covering the Plymouth region. In this field-based role, you will serve as a key scientific resource, building relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and academic institutions. Your expertise will be vital in disseminating scientific and clinical information, gathering insights, and supporting the company's strategic medical objectives for its innovative pharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in scientific exchange with KOLs and HCPs to discuss disease areas, therapeutic options, and clinical data related to company products.
• Identify and foster collaborative research opportunities, including investigator-initiated studies (IIS).
• Present complex clinical data and scientific information accurately and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Gather and communicate field insights on emerging trends, unmet medical needs, and competitive intelligence to internal medical and commercial teams.
• Participate in medical advisory boards and scientific congresses.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in strict adherence to regulatory, ethical, and company guidelines.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent) in a relevant therapeutic area.
• Proven experience as an MSL or in a similar medical affairs role, with a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
• Exceptional knowledge of the assigned therapeutic area and clinical trial design.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel extensively within the designated territory (Plymouth and surrounding areas) and occasionally nationally/internationally.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
