Medical Writer - South West England

About the Role

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company dedicated to advancing global health, is seeking a skilled and articulate Medical Writer to join their medical affairs team, covering the South West England region with a base in Plymouth . You will be responsible for the creation and development of high-quality medical and scientific documents that communicate complex clinical and research data accurately and effectively. This role is integral to supporting regulatory submissions, scientific publications, and educational materials, requiring a strong grasp of scientific concepts and excellent writing proficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and review a variety of medical documents, including clinical study reports (CSRs), protocols, Investigator's Brochures (IBs), and manuscripts for publication.
• Ensure all documents are scientifically accurate, clear, concise, and compliant with relevant regulatory guidelines and company standards.
• Collaborate closely with project teams, including clinicians, scientists, and regulatory affairs specialists, to gather necessary information and ensure document quality.
• Manage document timelines and deliverables, coordinating input from multiple stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to medical writing.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MSc, PhD, PharmD) in a life science, medical, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Writer in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical communications industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in preparing various types of clinical and regulatory documents.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in understanding and interpreting complex scientific and medical data.
