Medical Writer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and articulate Medical Writer to contribute to their scientific communications efforts. Based in Plymouth with a hybrid work arrangement, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, clear, and accurate medical and scientific documents. These documents support regulatory submissions, clinical trial reporting, and scientific publications. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, research methodologies, and regulatory requirements, ensuring effective communication of complex scientific data to various audiences, blending remote autonomy with necessary office collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Author, edit, and review various medical documents, including clinical study reports, protocols, investigator brochures, and manuscripts.
• Prepare and review regulatory submission documents for health authorities globally.
• Ensure all documentation is scientifically accurate, clear, concise, and compliant with relevant guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical, regulatory, and marketing departments, to gather information and ensure alignment.
• Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines.
• Maintain a high standard of scientific integrity and ethical conduct in all written materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a life science, medical, or scientific writing discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Medical Writer in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry.
• Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely on complex scientific and medical topics.
• Thorough understanding of clinical trial processes and regulatory submission requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with document management systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
