MEICA Project Engineer

Consultant MEICA Co-ordinator / Project Engineer Location: South Gloucestershire / Gloucestershire Contract: Contract | Rate: £450-£500 per day, depending on experience Duration: 6 months minimum We are seeking an experienced MEICA Co-ordinator / Project Engineer to provide technical coordination and oversight of MEICA works on a major infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEICA activities across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation.
• Review drawings, specifications, P&IDs, schematics and contractor submissions.
• Identify technical interfaces, risks and issues across disciplines.
• Monitor installation quality and progress.
• Provide technical support and challenge to contractors and subcontractors.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and handover.
• Resolve technical queries, defects and commissioning issues.
• Coordinate with project teams and ensure completion of relevant documentation.
• Ensure MEICA systems operate effectively as an integrated system. Technical Experience Strong MEICA knowledge, ideally within water, wastewater, drainage, flood defence or infrastructure, including:
• Pumps, pumping stations, valves and pipework
• Motors, MCCs and electrical systems
• Control panels and instrumentation
• PLCs, SCADA and telemetry
• Control and automation systems
• Testing and commissioning

About You

• Experience as a MEICA/EICA Engineer, MEICA Co-ordinator, M&E Engineer, Project Engineer or similar.
• Water, wastewater or infrastructure experience.
• Strong multidisciplinary engineering knowledge.
• Contractor coordination experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of installation, testing and commissioning.
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
