Job Description
Consultant MEICA Co-ordinator / Project Engineer Location: South Gloucestershire / Gloucestershire Contract: Contract | Rate: £450-£500 per day, depending on experience Duration: 6 months minimum We are seeking an experienced MEICA Co-ordinator / Project Engineer to provide technical coordination and oversight of MEICA works on a major infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate MEICA activities across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation.
- Review drawings, specifications, P&IDs, schematics and contractor submissions.
- Identify technical interfaces, risks and issues across disciplines.
- Monitor installation quality and progress.
- Provide technical support and challenge to contractors and subcontractors.
- Oversee testing, commissioning and handover.
- Resolve technical queries, defects and commissioning issues.
- Coordinate with project teams and ensure completion of relevant documentation.
- Ensure MEICA systems operate effectively as an integrated system. Technical Experience Strong MEICA knowledge, ideally within water, wastewater, drainage, flood defence or infrastructure, including:
- Pumps, pumping stations, valves and pipework
- Motors, MCCs and electrical systems
- Control panels and instrumentation
- PLCs, SCADA and telemetry
- Control and automation systems
- Testing and commissioning
About You
- Experience as a MEICA/EICA Engineer, MEICA Co-ordinator, M&E Engineer, Project Engineer or similar.
- Water, wastewater or infrastructure experience.
- Strong multidisciplinary engineering knowledge.
- Contractor coordination experience.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of installation, testing and commissioning.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
