Mentor - Winchester & Surrounding Hampshire Areas
The Role
Ever thought about mentoring?
We're looking for dedicated and empathetic Mentors to support vulnerable children and young people across Winchester and the surrounding Hampshire areas.
Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide 1:1 support to learners who are unable to access mainstream education or require additional support to engage with learning and daily routines. Rather than focusing purely on academics, this role centres around building confidence, developing positive relationships, supporting emotional wellbeing, and encouraging engagement.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy making a meaningful difference while working in a flexible, rewarding environment outside of mainstream education.

Hours: Flexible
Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Type: 1:1 Mentoring
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including teaching, tutoring, mentoring, learning support, youth work, teaching assistant, or similar roles
- Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
- Experience supporting vulnerable children and young people is desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally
