MEP Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent MEP Coordinator to join their remote project delivery team, overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for various construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding of MEP design principles, installation practices, and coordination methodologies to ensure seamless integration of services within building projects. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between design and construction, resolving clashes, and ensuring that MEP systems are installed efficiently and to the highest standards, all from a fully remote setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) designs to resolve clashes and ensure constructability.
• Review MEP designs, specifications, and drawings for compliance and integration with overall project requirements.
• Liaise with design consultants, project managers, and construction teams to facilitate smooth MEP installations.
• Develop and maintain MEP coordination drawings and 3D models using BIM software.
• Identify and manage risks and issues related to MEP systems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure MEP installations meet all relevant building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in coordinating or managing MEP systems within construction projects.
• Proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit MEP) and clash detection tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems design and installation.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills for remote work.
