About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MEP Manager to take responsibility for the coordination, management and successful delivery of all Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) services on a major high-rise residential development in Basildon. This is a key site-based position requiring someone with a strong background in the delivery of high-rise residential schemes, capable of managing MEP packages from design and installation through to testing, commissioning, completion and final handover. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team, consultants, specialist MEP subcontractors and utility providers to ensure building services are fully coordinated with the wider construction programme and delivered safely, on time and to the required quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the management and delivery of MEP services across the development.
• Manage and coordinate all mechanical, electrical and public health subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee MEP works from design development and installation through to testing, commissioning and handover.
• Review MEP drawings, specifications, technical submissions and design information to identify potential coordination and buildability issues.
• Coordinate MEP installations with architectural, structural and other construction packages.
• Monitor and coordinate all MEP design development and subsequent changes with the MEP contractors and wider project team.
• Manage the delivery of services within apartments, communal areas, risers, plant rooms and landlord areas.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC, electrical distribution, BMS, life-safety systems, fire-protection systems, lifts and renewable technologies.
• Manage and liaise with utility providers to ensure the required infrastructure and connections are delivered in accordance with the project programme.
